It was composed for and is dedicated to Kazunori Meguro and the students at Showa Academy of the Arts in Atsugi, Japan. The music is scored for timpanist and four percussionists playing two marimbas, a vibraphone, tuned gongs, a glockenspiel and a suspended cymbal.
